How do you remove abandoned multiplayer games?

A few questions about the multiplayer module:
I posted a challenge for a multiplayer game, the challenge was accepted but the first turn was never completed by my opponent, is there a way of deleting games that have been abandoned?
.......or will my multiplayer screen eventually fill with and indelible list of all those people that have bailed on games?
Is there a way of contacting my opponent?

Probably the best way is to send an e-mail to
support@slitherine.co.uk with the game details.

For now, please contact support as advised.
We are looking into adding the ability to claim inactive games after a period of time (the PBEM server does support this), but we don't have it yet for FoG(U)

The old game allowed you to do this after 30 days but that was too long really. Maybe 14 days would be better? The claiming is optional so you can always leave a game on there for as long as you want if you think it might be resumed.

Hello Stockwellpete,
Sorry, but there are no plans to make this 14 days, as some people cannot play the game that often (due to personal life, work, etc) so we only delete games once 30 days has passed.

Will this be an automatic deletion or on request?

Sorry, but I don't understand. The button just gives you an option to claim a game after a certain period of time has elapsed since your opponent's last move. Why do we always have to wait 30 days? Quite often we will know almost immediately that the game will not be continued (in tournaments sometimes players receive a resignation by PM).
