Quick question: When a Unit Hero is awarded and grants '+3 Defence' does this value stack with 'Ground Defence', 'Air Defence' and 'Close Defence'.

So for example Close defence goes from '2' to '5'?

The defense bonus should apply to all defense categories. If you have a chance to hit the "L" key after your unit is attacked you will see a breakdown of the combat which should include any hero bonuses.
