What a surprise! Is there anything that can't be done?
"Just one more turn" thank you Odenathus.

Played and lost. Those melee capable Indians are really something.
One suggestion, if you want historical number of men, there is a parameter in the BSF file.
Code: Select all
SetUniversalVar("StrengthMultiplier", 100);
100 means standard 500-man battalions. You can scale down to reduce men per battalion.

I have really enjoyed this as something different. However even at the highest level of difficulty the 7th cavalry whipped arse, I had lost 1 company (8% of my army) when the Indians broke in turn 15. Admittedly I had the benefit of hindsight, and am not a self-centered egotistical psychopathic glory hunter.
I am happy to post how its done, but don't want to spoil the challenge for others, other than to suggest you play it as if you were playing RBS.

Odenathus,
I admit I had serious doubts about this scenario when I saw the announcement, but within the limitation of the game engine you have created something outrageously fun to play and you captured some of the proper period feel. Well done. I made a custom sound and music folder replacing the Euro-centric effects and music with the score from Son of the Morning Star. It is copyrighted so there is no way it can be uploaded (for I have an abiding respect for the laugh! *cough*) but if you found the music and added in the privacy of your own home...really ramps up the mood. Congratulations for a superb addition to a superb game. What's next?

Well done! I really enjoyed Little Big Horn. Lost but at least Custer was one of the last to go! Very well thought out and presented.
This game engine is a fantstic in that so much can be produced.
