old issue. cannot find my original post, but it was a while ago. i issue challenges and they disappear into the ether.

so, as indicated, i tried to send another challenge. i received no notifications. i could not see my challenge.

today, i got this email. obviously, someone could see it. why not me???

i sure wish the support was a little better and a lot quicker.

On what iPad model did you encounter the issue?

I have an iPad Air 2 from 2014.

I can issue a challenge, but I never see it. I have received emails advising of turn or game ended, but I never see anything.

Is it possible your router or firewall is interfering with your communication?

I doubt it. Everything else works fine including multiplayer games.

The MP uses HTTP and so is vulnerable to firewalls which attempt to (e.g.) trap cookies and so on. Just trying to look at all the potential issues.

Am using an apple router (time capsule). Have not done anything there regarding firewall, although something could be active by default, I suppose.


Going to muliplayer now, I can see 5 challenges, all of which are locked or have that link symbol.

The lock symbol means the player who created it set a password for the challenge. Try accepting a challenge that has no lock next to it or create one yourself and wait for it to be accepted by another player.

have tried several times to issue challenge. i never see the challenge posted. i have, however, gotten notifications and emails that suggest the challenge was accepted. i have never seen anything within the app.

When you create a challenge, it should appear in the Issue Challenge tab from Multiplayer. There you can see only chalenges that are created by you. When you hit the Issue Challenge button, let me know if it gives you some error. If it doesn't, your challenge should appear in that list.

When someone accepts your challenge, it will disapear from that list and it will be listed in the Current Games tab. There you can join the game if it is your turn.

If it doesn't work for you, let me know and I will create a challenge tomorrow and guide you in hopes that we find the issue.

When I issue challenge there is no error. There is nothing in my challenges tab.

I have accepted a challenge and received email notification of game start

I have received email notification that it is my turn in the game I accepted, HOWEVER, there is nothing showing in my current games tab.

This is what has happened before.

I see. I suppose Refresh and trying to scroll around the Current Games does not work.

This is an issue we haven't heard of yet, and we are unable to reproduce it in any of our devices. What is your PBEM account name? We will have a look at what happens in our server, see if the challenges are actually created and if the games are there.

LE: I can see your games in our list, but at this moment I have no idea what might cause your in-game issue. I created a new challenge, from user manthril. You can accept it, and see if we can work this out somehow. Password is fabforrest.
