Order of Battle on Older Mac

So I have MacBook Air with 1.4 ghz Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM, and Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB video. I know the OS is up to date. I bought it about a year ago, it definitely is not the most high powered MacBook out there.

While I know this meets the minimum specs, I am wondering if it will be too slow, particularly AI turns, to be enjoyable. Anybody else with a comparable system have anything to report?

That's a good question. I have a MacBook Air as well. Was thinking about purchasing the Mac version of the game "for the road." Never tried any games on my Mac, so am hesitant.

If it doesn't have a "real" 3D graphics card (NVidia or AMD Radeon) I think it will struggle with the 3D graphics. Perhaps it will run well enough in the "tactical map mode" (flat boardgame style map) but I don't have a similar system myself to test it on.

My advice is to wait for the free version of the game which will come out very soon and then decide if it runs well enough on your system.

Downloaded & installed the new version. Started the Marines campaign. Not very many forces, of course, and I have not extensively tested it, but, so far, all seems fine. Screen, of course, is a lot smaller 13.3 VS 24". Plays well.
