Slitherine

This scenario is crushing me pretty good. I managed to DV the last two scenarios, but the Russians in Lake Balaton are so numerous and tough! On my third try, I was able to beat back the Russian hordes, but 16 turns is just not enough for me to get the job done.

My most recent attempt had me sell off all my Panzer IVs and Panthers to replace them with Jagdtigers, seven attacking the north wing and seven attacking the middle wing, both groups with support. I have air superiority and have six fighters and six tacticals providing ground support. But I keep running out of turns; I can't seem to break out through the massive waves of IS-2s and SU-100s until turn 7 or 8 (and then it's too late).

Can you offer advice on how to beat this one? I'll be happy with a MV.

I know it's been a while since this post but I came here to post something very similar. It's a tough one.

It's a few years since I played the standard campaign, but I do remember that the turn limit in Lake Balaton makes it tough to get a DV. I lost this more than once before beating it. My notes say that I needed King Tigers with air support, unfortunately that's all the advice I have. Good luck!
