Here's an example. Using the beta patch, normal difficulty, fairly early in the game. Urgan Fleet (there are 2 Corvettes: 1 Type 1 and 1 Type 2) go alllll the way from Tyl to Procyon-- 14,350 h.u.!! Just cruised right through Becrux en route. My Scout shadowed them all the way-- they didn't use a wormhole or anything. The empty looking systems are in fact empty.

I don't know what or if the AI has any limits at all, but a 14K-plus range CORVETTE seems just a tad excessive to me...

I believe Vladimir said that AI does slightly cheat with fuel, and it can't be avoided for a technical reason.

SLIGHTLY cheat!? This is quite a bit more than that. And what is the limit we can expect? IS there a limit? Nor do I buy that it "can't be avoided". It's his right as the developer to give the AI as many cheats as he wants, but I feel he OWES it to us to tell us the extent and scope of the cheats. So far he has not been forthcoming other than to acknowledge there is indeed a cheat. This is a problem, because it renders any attempt at real strategy a waste of time if the AI has limitless range. Nothing is safe. Ever. We're just kidding ourselves. Enemy Super-Corvettes cruising the Galaxy before I can even build a few FIGHTERS in a new colony that is seemingly far out of reach? Not that they are much good against boson-gun armed ships anyway.

Plus keep in mind this is all I just happened to document-- 15K range Corvettes. Is there any limit at all?? Fix it, tell us how to mod it, or at least 'fess up as to the extent of the cheat.
