I cannot access panzer corps on steam now that the beta tests have stopped. when I go onto steam and look at the games I have, Panzer corps is there but says Panzer Corps Running. when I click on play I get an error box appear with the message " steam error" and " failed to start game ( app already running )" I have followed the instructions to delete the Appcache folder but still the same error message when relaunching panzer corps. any ideas???

I had the same problem but managed to solve it... So I hope this works for you as well:

In my case, Panzer Corps was sort of 'stuck' on the beta test mode (I think I accidently selected the beta after it had expired). Like in your case, it kept showing 'running', so I had to start the task manager and manually close PanzerCorps.exe, then re-start Steam. It is actually running but because it is the expired beta version it won't do anything, however Steam still sees the PanzerCorps.exe file so it shows 'running'. So I had to close the .exe manually through the Windows Task Manager.

When I checked Steam it was finally no longer running, and it showed 'Panzer Corps [test]' which means the beta is still activated. Then, I had to exit and re-start Steam because it wouldn't let me change the settings immediately after closing the .exe, but after you restart Steam you can right-click 'Panzer Corps [test], select 'Properties', go the the 'Betas' Tab and manually select the 'None - opt out of all betas'. A small update and everything was back to normal.
