Haven't had a chance to convince myself that this is or is not a more correct Romanov flag than the one with the green background provided in the vanilla late 17th century skirmishes.

But I think it's a better solution than the imperial flag being used as a stand-in in the first version of the scenario.

So for those who want Peter the Great's army looking a bit more Russian (and can't wait for version 2 of the scenario), here's a double-headed eagle on a gold background with St. George on a red shield exterminating a member of an endangered species.

Were the Swedish unit graphics in this scenario vanilla or modded? If it were my mod I would be playing around with the desaturation slider.

I've made a few minor adjustments to the Romanov flag file. The link in the first post of this thread will take you to the updated version.

Most of the changes are more likely to be seen in multi-player than in single player:

Outline of movement symbol is now darker and more regular.

Outlines of firing angle symbols are darker.

Broken unit flag now reflects casualties.



On another note, I'm now highly confident that a Romanov flag with a yellow-gold background is more correct than a flag with a green background. Period paintings sometimes show pairs of flags, one with a gold background and one with a white background (white background flags were commonly used by Lifeguard regiments and first battalions). I don't understand why a green background was ever used in the game, as I've seen no evidence for its existence at all.
