hi my multiplayer won't go past the 'initiating multiplayer ' stage .. I've been with this game since it's first release ..I have bought everything panzercorps that is possible ..all physical copies.. need help please ..i'm rubbish with computer stuff .. I guess I should've waited a few days for the bugs to go ..but couldn't help myself!

You're not alone. M/Player passes that stage (quickly) then it says
"Game url is non-existent" and thats that.

hopefully it will fixed ..i need my regular 1941 fix from my buddies around the world ..i don't usually play the campaign games ..i just enjoy the couple of new units and handful of maps that we get ...sadly undercatered for us multiplayer fans

at least i'm not alone though ..although you probably wish i was haha! ;oD chewers for letting me know though..slitherine usually do fix stuff though,..that's why i still play this game ..c'mon slithers ..giz a patch

I had it freeze grapically, but you could hear sounds of each move been made. Went to normal soon as other players turn ended, but hard see what player did. I do have all US GC and 1.26 patch.Was using my steam version.

i use opera .. if that's any help..although it keeps trying to reset to edge lol!

i think i had a glitch in the download of 42 .. i uninstalled 42 and 43 cos a message came up halfway through one of them..i couldn't remember which..so it works fine with 44 installed ..i'll install the other's probably when the physical copy comes ..or i may get brave in a few days )

For those who are still having issues, can you confirm for me which version of the game you're using to connect with (Slitherine/Steam/iOS), what other DLC you have and that username that you're logging in with?

Hello Shards, just sent in my report with the log file (got a ticket), here is some additional info:

If I try to access multiplayer through my regular (non-Steam) version, the game hangs on the 'Initializing multiplayer' screen, and can only be closed through the Task manager. This non-Steam version has all the expansions and is 1.26.

I also have the Steam version, and when I start that the multiplayer works normally... I use my Steam version for the beta tests and it only has the base game, AK, AC and a few GC dlc installed.


And in the log.txt I spotted the following phrase:

"Trying to send a URL which is too long:" followed by a long string with an incomplete list of installed expansions and serial numbers which cuts off at 1023 characters in total...

that's the same as i had thvn ..it's a bug in either the 42 or 43 ..i kept the 44-45 one , but uninstalled the others ..i remember a message coming up on the install halfway through..(or it may have been on the download).. it said something about fixing it on reboot but it never did,..and i can't remember the wording, and i'm too rubbish at computer stuff to be of any use to you guys..but it would be really annoying that it's taken this long if i actually played the scenario's.. but i'm not fussed as long as m.p. works.. i know it'll get fixed eventually. i've got my physical copies through now, ..but i reckon i'll wait another month before trying to install, that way i won't have to go through the pain of no m.p. for 2 days again lol! ..but still thanks for creating the best ever strategy game,..and having a customer service that listens ;o)

Thanks ThvN, that's a really useful log.

Indeed, it seems that we've hit an unexpected limit on the character count on the URL that is sent to login to the MP system! We'll need to update the client to fix this, so it'll take a few days to get it out to you. In the meantime, I would expect that a work-around (horrible though it is), would be to temporarily uninstall one or two of your vast amounts of Panzer Corps DLC (make sure you've registered them on the website so you can retrieve serial codes later!!!).

I bought 42/42/44/45, I bought the disc version.
I loaded '43 & '43 and multiplayer still worked but when I added the 44/45 game, multiplayer ceased to function.
Was istt los mit das programming?

'overload' schlieffen... take off 44 to 45 again , and wait until they fix it ..that's what i have done..but i think they're working on it now and should have it fixed this week ;o)
