FoG does occasionally crash in Windows 10, but I suspect that has more to do with feeding my monitors from the USB port, through DisplayLink than it has to do with Windows 10.

It doesn't crash often enough to be a problem, though.

I don't experience problems with the original version (all DLC) and the Unity version (all DLC except the unreleased) on Win 10 64 bit with AMD R7 2 GB video card (last 16.5.3 AMD beta driver), 8GB ram, 1680 x 1050 resolution, VIA chipset audio win 10 driver. No crashes so far in both versions.

But,

The Unity version textures (terrain) and unit models are far less smooth then the much older original version. When zoomed in they still look pixelated compared to the original. I don't know if this had something to do with combination AMD, Win 10 and Unity engine since the video preference settings at the start of the game don't make any sense to improve the quality.

Also some of the textures (fields, hills etc) are cut off and show only half textures.

Last but not least I'm missing a lot of functionallity in the new Unity version. For example unit picture examples in the HUD, terrain mouse over info and picture examples, field of view for shooters and I can mention some more but I reported all of them already in the bug report section of the Field of Glory forum since April. Still hoping for response on some of those issues.

I understand a lot of work is already done and the game is not released yet but I have to admit that at this moment I still prefer to play the original version. Mostly because of more info (important for me as a new FOG player) in the UI and smoother artwork.

not heard of the problems with unity tbh on win 10 on there forums with the issue, but not read them all either as yet

http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/window ... ty.343911/

and as of yet maybe a driver or resolution issue maybe, 1920x1080 works fine, with the default 96 DPI settings in windows 10, anything larger for either may stretch or pixelate slightly

but thanks for the report

If it helps to know:

I'm running at a resolution of 2560x1080 on a 32" ultra widescreen monitor, using an NVIDIA 840M graphics card.

yep that's enough information for me, seems to be running well then on windows 10, was going to ask to test it, and try myself, but seems it's more than stable enough and ready for windows 10 now out of the box...

thanks everyone
