Mission didn't end when I killed last US unit, nor when I moved the unit with gold in the target area.

I saw the Victory message but it then faded away, all buttons disappeared and I was stuck there. See attached screenshot


I killed the game and relaunched it. I can continue the mission but not end it.

just press ctr+r and that will report it straight to the developers, thanks

No issue in the US campaign, I was able to reach 2nd mission.

I'll retry as German from start.

Tried a second time the German Rogue and same issue: just after having killed the last US unit, the victory message showed up then faded, and the game never continue back to campaign menu. I made another ctrl+R for the devs.

for information I, I first encountered the issue playing latest non-Steam version with Ranger and cards add-ons. Since, I installed the Steam version and the issue is still there.

And now the issue happened in US Rogue campaign in the third mission. Just killed Oberlnt HELFER, saw the victory message but the mission didn't end. Sent another report with crtl R.

And now it happened too in a skirmish. The turn seems to be freezed during AI Cards Phase, just after I player the card Rage during Orders phase.

I relaunched the skirmish but the game is still freezed, plus one of my unit has vanished (a Fire Squad with order #2, which was between the german and US tanks). Report sent with ctrl+R.

I wonder how this version V1.42 has been playtested?

it was an open beta, so anyone who wished to test it, did, plus the developers also did it in house, as with anything so complex, sometimes an odd thing slips through, so what ever does or has gets picked up by the reports and a hot fix or new build is brought out, thanks again for the report

Sorry I didn't realized it was still in beta. The announcement on Steam seems pretty clear on the contrary:

Heroes of Normandie gets a major free update with the addition of the Action Cards. These cards significantly alter the gameplay and add a new layer of depth to the game. There will be 29 cards for Germany and 32 for the US, all of them tested and balanced through months of beta testing! They are accompanied by a patch including many bug-fixes, balance changes and five new multiplayer missions.

The new Action Cards system for Heroes of Normandie and the patch will be available from May 4th.

it was an open beta

it was meaning it now isn't, sorry for the confusion

Thanks for the clarification. I'm waiting for a fix because the game is actually unplayable as a solo experience (skirmish and rogue campaign broken).

not having the same problems tbh myself and i'm on the same build, lets take a look to see if anythings wrong or gone a miss,

How to get a DxDiag report file:

1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time)
2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8 )
3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments (zip) rather than pasted into the body of the post.

add the exe of the game to your Anti Virus and firewall program, to make sure check the logs of these to see if it was one if any of them was to blame.

That usually means a 3rd party program, like an Internet security programs, is or could be interfering with the game or update installation.

run the game from a admin account and use full admin permissions.

please make sure all game pre requisite are installed with the game, even if you think or fully know there are already installed, it will only over write, and it may be that you have a older or newer version of these where as the game in question may need a certain version.

please make sure you are running the latest game version and have up to date drivers installed on your pc,

If you have the original version. So you'll need to update it from the Internet.
Please note that you'll only need the last update, as the updates are comprehensive. (not needed with steam)

I run HoN on a new installed system (April, 2016) with Windows 7 64b (family ed.) as OS.

I play with admin account. I use Kaspersky Total Security (nothing in the logs).

I encountered the issue with a fresh install (May, 5th) of original HoN (v1.01), updated to V1.42 the same day.

I installed the Steam version last Satursday (May, 7th), but had the same issue with it.

ok thanks, report is total empty, so other than drivers are a bit old, by a few month, no real issues there either
