Ok, just recently heard about this game and was wondering how moddable it is.
I am a pretty experienced modder of RTW and was wondering if this game could be modded in the same way.
If there are mdos please point me in the right direction.

Well, all the units stats appear to be word files, so that is really easy. I don't know about graphics, but I hear it is rather hard, as the graphic tool they use is not user friendly.
The game is solid, though

Ave kscott,
I'd like to take this opportunity to say that you are most welcome to the Legion Arena Forum.
My advice, for what it's worth, is to play the game first. You will find it an extremely challenging and enjoyable experience. When you've tried all four levels of difficulty, (Arcade, Normal, Hard and Very Hard) you'll then know what you'd like altered or improved upon. I would also suggest that you read through all of the previous posts to discover the variety of opinions expressed by the very vocal and articulate members.
Until then, I wish you many pleasurable hours of battles, battles and yet more battles.
Vale

Do mods apply to multiplayer?
Always wondered...
Thanks

With most games, mods only apply if both players have it. Some games might not allow mods on multiplayer, but few that allow mods allow two players to have two different mods (normally gives an Out of Sync type error, but stops the game instead of just displaying the words on-screen).
I think Legion Arena might allow tw players to play with the same mod? I hope so.
PS,
Mod = Modification
Modding = the process of Modification

ok then somebody should try it. I m willing to try if somoebody agrees to it to so we can modify the game together. We may even develop a new model for everybody. I saw someone once express a wish to make more powerfull pillaris. We could try it. I don't know i never use romans.

i am willing to do it too. Just tell me when. (I live on the east coast of the USA and only get home around 8:00 am GMT and go to sleep around 5:00 GMT, eating dinner generaly between 1:30 and 3:30 GMT. Some nights I might have something planned, or my parents might, or I might have too much homework. But I will try)

The unit skins are easy enough to change, i was playing around with the Legionaries a bit
All the texture files are .dds so you just need the nVidia-Adobe Photoshop DDS Plugin from the nVidia Website. I havent really experimented with unit stats yet tho.
Music should be easy to change.
As should the loading Screen Graphics and splash screens.
EDIT: The Great thing about the way the game is set up (from a skinners point of view) is that the skins are set up so you can include four variations on the same unit in one file. You have 4 256x256 images. And each one can be differant (tunics etc) this allows the unit variation.
That was just from glancing at the Roman Skins, but im sure there are some things i have missed out.
here is what i mean:

Hey! and a very warm welcome to this forum! Please post in future
So the skinning is that simple? This is looking wonderful so far, I think that the "fantasy" mod isn't actually too far away.

Ave
I'm coming in a bit late on this thread, but I'd also like to welcome you all to the seperate section of Legion Arena devoted to modding.
I hope that you continue to enjoy the experience with us as we constantly strive to stretch the limits of the original game.
Keep checking back to see the progress that we are making.
Vale
