What difficulty level are you playing on? If you play on several of those chose the most common one and share with the rest what makes you decide when to switch difficulty.

Do you play whole campaign on the same level or you switch difficulty on scenario basis?

I played it at Lvl 2 the first time around, but I found it too easy once I learned the basics. Ever since I've been playing campaigns at level 3. I don't switch from scenario to scenario (though I admit to adding a few RP to upgrade my units sometimes, if needed).

3, as it's what's necessary to get achievements, 2 seemed too easy, and I have no idea what actually changes for each difficulty level.

Increasing difficulty levels add max strength to AI units. The max/default is 10 at level 3, AFAIK this is the only level with strength parity on the unit level and is the one level I always play.

I just started playing Marines on Level 5, Kamikaze. Boy was that first mission hard!

I always play the hardest and most challenging. More fun for me that way.

First mission in jap campaign was quite hard when the US seaplanes were "bugged" and could fly twice as long

I am playing at the medium (Coloner) difficulty in the US Pacific campaign and hardly moving forward.
