How can your AA unit hit ground units 4 spaces away?
Range units do not translate when in AT mode.
That is crazy.

it hits the Sherman and T-34's with minimal of 7 damage. I think Superman took over...

Its the AA 128mm it has from beginning range 3 but can have 4 ( like another unit can get+2 in defence the AA unit can get +1 in range

Is this a modified unit or something because I had a +1 range AA unit, I lost it because I was dumb, and it had a 3 range in AA mode but 1 range in AT mode even after earning the +1 Range hero?

I recognize the map from the eastern DLC campaign, but judging from those nice looking skins on the units there's an additional mod involved. Shouldn't be too hard to mod these "cheat" stats in.

Not a normal 128mm...
The German 128 cannot 'normally' switch to AT mode.

Officially Artillery and AA get + 1 range when other units get +1 initiative. It's not quite as simple as that, however. If you get a range hero when in AA or artillery mode, you don't get range hero in AT mode but should instead get +1 initiative. Unfortunately if you get +1 initiative hero when in AT mode, when you switch to AA (88mm) or artillery (25 pounder) you don't get the +1 range but instead keep + 1 initiative.
The sensible explanation (which isn't necessarily right) is that your mod allows the 128 to switch to AT mode and allows AT to have 1,2 or 3 range.

Could be the Elite Units Mod. I think it has a switchable 12,8cm. The skins also look like this. But I don`t remember the mod changing AT range of AA guns.

Correct! I use the Elite Units Mod, with SS units. Ive had the 12,8cm AA for several scenarios now, but never used it in AT role, since I assumed I could not switch it.
But now I noticed I could and suddenly the same surprise like all of you, when I noticed all the Russian units I could hit - and how...
Like I mentioned before, feels a bit too much - I can hit just as far as my 18cm or 21cm +range arty.
It does compensate for the bad AT statistics of the 88mm, but I guess this would be called over-compensate.

I have the elite unit mod, the 88mm has 1 range and rhe grey 128mm 3 range and i gor 128mm SS who had 4 range

For me the range is too much. I changed it so that every AT gun has the same range which is 0.

In the equipment.pzeqp in your data folder. Where that folder is depends on where you installed the mod.
There you can change many parameters of units pretty easy.
Range = 0 means the unit can attack adjacent units
Range = 1 means the unit can attack adjacent units, without enemy firing back
Range = 2 means the unit can attack enemy units at 1 hex distance
Edit: Better make a copy of that file before you change anything!

It just got even worse... My AA got a +1 move hero...
