I have reached Strachwitz Offensive - March 1944 GC East. And meet a problem I have encountered before and also shared here before...
I wish to backup my southern attacking panzer units with artillery (red arrow). At that moment no Russian units will be able to see it, unless the Cavalry (green arrow) moves forward.
Closest AI unit will be the Infantry (blue arrow) - but will it be able to reach/attack my artillery, being mounted.
In other words - how I wish I could calculate the movement of AI units..
All AI that are visible is thanks to a +1 spot hero of the forward moving Tiger...

AI has the same costs for movement as your units. So, it's just math.
To see what each terrain feature costs, go to the library section of the game, then select "movement" on the left. You'll see a table with the terrain types vs. unit types. You can cross reference the unit in question with the terrain it would go through or into.
The conscript unit you show I believe has a movement of 3. From the table, the cost of moving into the swamp would be 2. The cost of moving into the forest after going through the swamp would also be 2. Since 2 + 2 + 4, this would exceed the unit movement allowance of 3 & the conscript unit could not reach the hex in the turn after yours.
Also note that, with the exception of units with recon movement, movement stops once you enter an enemy unit's ZOC. Therefore, once the conscript unit moved into the swamp, it could not move further into the forest - even if it had enough movement points - because it would be stopped by your 13 strength Tiger I's ZOC.
So, it looks to me that you're doubly protected. The conscript unit doesn't have the movement allowance to do it & your tank stops them anyway. Good luck!
Like the camo paint jobs BTW.

The same logic holds for the cavalry unit. It has more movement points, but still can't reach the artillery unit. It can reach the hex next to the Elefant (1+2+1), but then is stopped by the Elefant's ZOC. If the AI seeks to avoid the Elefant's ZOC, the unit can get no farther than the second swamp hex (1+2+2).
