A couple of questions

*ME- 1 bg of 8 Pike in a 2 by 4 formation
ENEMY- 1 bg of 4 Impact HF in 2 by 2

I lose a base to a death roll on impact

Melee phase I have 2 files: one of 4 bases and one of 3 bases DO I FIGHT BY FILES BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENT POA (one file has the 4th rank +) ?


*Can I shift 1 base sideways on my first move of a double move (I am outside of 6MU) ?

*A BG of Cav charge my BG of 6 MF CB in a 3 by 2 formation in the impact phase I have the first three front bases @2 dice each in combat + 1 dice each for shooting from the three bases behind@ shooting POAs Is this correct ?

Combat is always done by files, it is just that a lot of the time they fight on the same POAs.

Yes, but only on the first move.

The crossbow get 6 dice at impact POA and 3 more at shooting POA minus one beause they are shooting at chargers

Yes, that's right.

Yes, the prohibition is on shifting "in a second move", not "in a double move".

yes, but remember the shooting POA is reduced for shooting in the impact phase (2nd to last line on table).
