Presumably, shock troops must test not to charge a camp.
If they fail and the camp is fortified, what happens?

But then they can't kill it and can't break off so are then permanently stuck?philqw78 wrote:They charge it
OK - what if there was a unit of light foot next to the camp?grahambriggs wrote:No. P62: shock troops are only tempted to charge battle groups. Camps are not battle groups.
I don't think so. Page 94 - last paragraph. The knights are forced to charge, lf evade, hey presto, stuck knights?
Page 94 covers it nicely - I was more thinking if the LF was side by side with the camp and then evaded to it's rear (a fortified camp can be fairly well forward)petedalby wrote:I don't think so. Page 94 - last paragraph. The knights are forced to charge, lf evade, hey presto, stuck knights?
Plus the LF can't evade through the camp. See page 72 - so the knights can go after them.
Nobody took my fortified camp. Or even came close.navigator wrote:So Dave.. did your fortified camp ploy work?
I enjoyed your bold and brash statement that Dave Morrison's mamlukes had nothing to take your fortified camp with as they were all mounted... as you placed it as far forward as you could... and then Dave M promptly dismounts his cavalry facing it!
From what I saw nobody needed to.dave_r wrote:Nobody took my fortified camp. Or even came close.navigator wrote:So Dave.. did your fortified camp ploy work?

It was extremely useful.
