slings\ slingstaffs

can an enyone tell me how slingstaff is counting rulewise.
is it counting as a sling or as an entirely different weapon,
it is so that i bought some alexaderian light infantrie made by hat 1\72 wich included some slingstaff man

There is no specific staffsling capability, I have mixed my late Roman staffslings with slingers as a mixed BG which I will treat as all slingers.

Given that the staff sling probably had longer range than a normal sling, I think you could treat them as bow. The POA are the same.

Historically staff slings appear, from what I've read, to have been used to deliver heavy missiles and had a fairly short range so I'd go with Hammy's suggestion and just use them as Slingers.
