After watching the Twitch stream I was intrigued to start a new game; so chose "new game". After selecting config and race starting the game crashed. I noticed a file "fatal" date stamped at the time of crash so attaching it just in case it can help.

for some reason it is not attached... What is written there? I can suggest there are some file-access restrictions problems, like cannot create a specific file. Do you have the game installed on your C: drive?

Sorry guess for some reason it was missed. I have a Steam installation on my "D" drive.. It said extension was not permitted

Ok update; I think I resolved my issue. I had messed up somehow adding the mod (although not sure how) but when I replaced all data in the DESIGNS folder with the mod data it now seems to be ok except not seeing the mods,...oh well
