Hello, this was one feature that massively turned me off from the game, yet then again I haven't had much time. Planning on heading home and immediately playing it tonight.

My question: can you upgrade existing ship with new designs as long as the ship class is the same ETC ETC... I haven't been able to find this feature and for me it's a basic feature of 4x games.

Let me know if I am missing something!

Move your ship to a planet with orbital shipyard, enter planet screen, you'll find the Upgrade button.
