Ships are too slow in tactics

I press battle and i use x20 and around 2-4 minutes to gether togerther in one piece my fleet . Seriously? Is it intended to be?

Ships are so slooooowwww in tactics. Actually a corvette or frigate can die one million times from a pack of fighters before the closest ally ship one the map can approach...
Make tactics move speed X5 or even X8 faster then now for big ships.

Retreat fleet: How is it suppose to catch or destroy retreating ships? I just get no idea. Some jump inhibitors? or what.

pps. Does anyone know what is the name of gameplay config file to mod ? Thanks

Research and more research. It is not a RTS, you have poor tech in the begining and by this reason you can have not access to better engines, weapons, the hyperjump prevent and more.

There is a guide about modding in the modding section.
