Please define Distance and Aggression.

When assigning a Seek and Destroy task to an AI Team, the land unit defaults are 20/50 while navy units default to 999/50 for Distance and Aggression.

First of all, I know Distance is not Range. Meaning, if the Seek and Destroy team senses an enemy within its Distance, but not necessarily within its Range, it will Seek (and try to Destroy), correct?

So then, is Distance in hexes? And, if so, why would the Naval Seek and Destroy suggest 999 hexes if the maximum map size is 120 hexes to a side?

Regarding Aggression, the maximum value is 100. So, does that mean 50 is half as aggressive as 100? Does 50 mean 50% of the time, the team may not bother to Seek and Destroy?

The aggression level is quite new in the editor. 50 is the default level, ie the aggression level used before they created an editable field for it.
I've always taken distance for number of hexes. They also use it for defending a hex coordinate using a distance (default = 5). That means you can customize local defense, and you can take it further by assigning speficic hexes for the units on the AI team.

Aggression defines will unit be more interested in inflicting damage to enemy or saving its own strength.

You can enter any value between 0 and 100.

50 is default value and middle solution.
0 means unit will be more interested in saving its own strength.
100 means unit will be more interested in inflicting damage to enemy.
