Hi All,

I've made up this list, mostly because it's what I have most of the figures for (based for Napoleon's Battles, but you can get around that pretty easily). All infantry Reformed.

Large Superior Veteran Line (Highlanders) with Rifle Attachment
Large Superior Veteran Guard with Cavalry attachment
Small Average Veteran Line (KGL)
Small Average Veteran Light Infantry with rifles
Small battery of 6lbers Average Drilled

Small Average Drilled Line Artillery Attachment
Small Average Drilled Line Rifle Skirmisher Attachment
Small Average Drilled Line

Competent DC
Small Impetuous Average Drilled Lighthorse (British Light Dragoons)
Small Average Veteran Lighthorse (KGL) Medium Artillery attachment
Small Average 6lber Horse Artillery

My original list had an artillery battery in the second division, but you are compulsed to have at least an artillery attachment, which means that you've got to either lose a battery of foot or horse guns (unless I'm mistaken).

Any thoughts?

never actually played British but I have found that I prefer to use a skilled corps commander at least. The problem you will have is that he can either move or give away his 1 point. No help if it is to a command that is too far away. You might want to consider keeping your divisions as small as you can. I have found large divisions are hard to handle when it comes to rallying, too many broken units and only 1 commander unless the corps can move in, concern in original point again.
You might want to put a large unit in each division, just to help with the hit drop for the large unit. Makes both divisions a bit more resilient.

I would be pretty much having 1 art and 1 can attachment per British infantry div.

I would be against taking the Sup/Vet and Sup/Vet Guard as large units.
Just very expensive. 76 pts making both these units large
thats a large A/D with Art and Cav attachments.
or an A/V lights with officer.

On Attachments -
" Compulsory attachments do not count against the bases in the main list."

Ditto Pugs.
As many artillery and rifle attachments as you are allowed, small superior units, large average units.

I wouldn't take a L2 CC though, attached L1's are all you need if playing the rules as currently written.

I'll look into the attachments. TBH, I think I made the Guards (at least) large to spend the points I couldn't find any other use for since I couldn't make the list I wanted due to the artillery restrictions.

So, it begs the question, if compulsory attachments don't count, I take it that means you have to take the minimum compulsory, and after that you have to use the existing 'in list' artillery as attachments... meaning, if you had every artillery attachment you could, you would not have any artillery?
