Going through my 15mm I cam across my unfinished Thematic Byzantine army can any one give me a heads up on thier basing the Cav inperticuler? they were dubble based in DBM (the reason I never finished them) how are the lancers and bow armed cav going to work

I suggest basing half as Cav lancers 40*30 and the other half as Cav archers same cbase size. All 3 figs to a base.

1/2 of the bases in each BG lancers and 1/2 the bases archers. All 3 figures to a 40 by 30 base.

I think Tagmatic guys are Cavalry, Superior, Armoured, Lancers, Swordsmen, Bow*, Drilled.

The Thematic Guys are Cavalry, Average, Armoured, half Lancers, Swordsmen and half Bow Swordsmen.

I played a game with them once against Ancient Spanish and had a great time. 25mm 6 by 4 table, one inch MU.

I will be using them a lot more in the future as they were my first 25mm ancients army I painted, as a teenager.

Good point, the Tagmatics will be all the same with lance and bow* but Thematics which were double bases in DBM are now 1/2 lance and 1/ bow.

Are the Bow Cav going to be able to suport shoot for the lancers???

They can shoot in the Shooting phase but do not support shoot at Impact - only foot can do that.
