Hi Guys,

Could someone start the Torch campaign in Allied Corps and tell me if any of the tank units that you can buy are listed and have no name under them?

I have a bunch of units with tank pictures but no description, it's the same if I start the Normandy campaign as well.
Thanks

Vpaulus tried to answer my question and I do have the 1.25 installed

Reinstall. Maybe you haven't perform a snapshot of your game folder after having installed GME.
So something might have messed up.
Please also note that some information is also carried on the save files.

Paulus,

I attached a screen shot and this is after the reinstall and starting the Normandy campaign as an example. I click on the $ icon and look at the tanks to see if the names show up and you can see from the picture, the names are absent..

Can I delete mods and see if that works? I have the mods disabled but they are still in the mods folder, still I get the same thing with the mods deleted, not sure of why the unit names are not showing up. When I play a different game like afrika corps and sea lion they show up

Whatever is happening, it was mostly probable caused by mods.
For example the SSGTPG I know it's incompatible with 1.25 and it will create a mess with the equipment file.
Mods are great, but to use them you must always ensure that they are compatible with the game version you are running.
And if there's a patch for the game, then you need to ensure that the mod was updated for that patch, specially when mods use certain files like equipment.pzeqp, exp.pzdat, efx.pzdat, etc.

My next suggestion is to rename the folder named Panzer Corps as _Panzer Corps in the Windows documents folder (...\Documents\My Games), start a new game (without using any saved game file) and check if the issue persists.

If it's still persisting, then probably your Panzer Corps installation is corrupted.
On this case you have to uninstall all your Panzer Corps games, delete some Windows registry keys and delete manually all the game folders that still might exist after having uninstalled the game.
Which Panzer Corps games you have and what's your Windows version? 32 bit or 64bit?

Hi Paulus, Thanks for your help
I have windows 7 running and it's a 64 bit version. I just started Afrika Corps again and it works fine with that game. It looks like the allied corps game is corrupted.

What is up with the Documents/myGames folder and it saves things in there as well?

what is a 000084.pzcor they start at 000000.pzcor these files are in the documents SaveCore folder? Not sure of what they do

thanks for your help

All the saved games, core armies, etc. are saved there. So try to rename it and start a new game like I have suggested.

Paulus,

I decided to uninstall the game and the other scenarios. I sent an email to slitherine with my purchase info. I have a question, I have most of the setup files located on another drive but I don't have the original one for the game. I have no clue where it went but luckily I have it registered.

Do I have to get a new install for all the games or just the one I am missing on my other drive? (Panzer Corps Wehrmacht) - Can't find

As there are no remasters yet for the game file installers, you just need to download the one you missing.

Hi Paulus,

Thanks for the info, Slitherine sent me the files and they did it very quickly,
When I reinstall everything i will go by

PzCorps
Afrika Korps
Grand campaigns
Allied Corps
Last patch 1.25

You mentioned something about registry keys before, what do I need to do?

Thanks for your help and I will test each game after I install

Theoretically, you shouldn't need as Soviet Corps should install 1.25...

After having uninstalled and before reinstalling, run the Windows registry cleaner attached in this post:
1. Unzip the downloaded file and run the extracted file PanzerCorps_ClRegKey-x64.reg
2. Allow the "program" to edit/delete the Windows registry keys regarding the game.

This will only work on 64bit Windows version.

P.S. Don't foprget also to rename the Panzer Corps folder in the Documents/My Games folder as _Panzer Corps

Hi Paulus

I installed everything and clicked on the panzer corps shortcut and received this message

failed to extract project file to memory.

allied corps worked as well as soviet corps

I guess I should just click on the Soviet Corps shortcut and go to the game from that direction? That seems to work

Right. If you want to keep that shortcut you would have to install patch 1.24 and then reinstall 1.25... I know  ... I hope this will be fixed on the next patch.
But it really doesn't matter if you start the game with Soviet Corps icon or any other as long is starts. :)

So is everything working now... Wehrmacht, Afrika Korps, Grand Campaign, Allied Corps and Soviet Corps?

Hi Paulus,

I just started a game of afrika korp and all seems to work well. I looked at the units and all are there with the names.

What do you recommend about any mods that players install? It seems like it messes things up at times?

Thanks for your help - One of my favorite games of all time. next game is the Order of the Pacific

About mods, I really can't say much.
You must ensure that they will run 1.25. Check in each mod thread about its compatibility. In doubt just ask in the thread, the modder should be able to answer.
I know that my sound mod is compatible. :)
As long you use correctly GME, you are basically safe. Just remember a few rules:
1- Perform a snapshot in GME of your game before copying any mods
2- Before installing a patch make sure that you have deactivated the mod in GME
3. After installing a patch, redo a Snapshot of your game in GME

Hi Paulus,

All works well and I must have messed up all the games when I used the mods. I did know about the snapshot. How is this done again? Thanks for helping
