Slitherine

Hi,

Just purchased and downloaded Soviet Corps.

However, .. the installer won't let me change the Install Path, .. and wants to install to C:\Program Files(x86) .. which I don't want.

I have all the Panzer Corps titles, addons etc., .. which are all installed to my RAID drive. (i.e. L:\Slitherine\..)

SO, what's the deal with the Soviet Corps installer, that it won't allow me to change the Install Drive/Folder .. ??

How do I install Soviet Corps as an expansion, .. and not a standalone game? .. is there a separate install for that?

Please advise.

I bought it on the website and downloaded and I can play the game but I want to add it to Steam but unsure how. It will not take my Serial Number or Order Reference Number.
What number am I to use to Register it on Steam?

I already have it signed up on Slitherine, at least that is what they tell me.

Same as Thomasew. I've purchased Soviet Corps but I want to install it to where my default Panzer Corps game is. By default the installation is set to "C:". How do I change this. Slitherine, if it ain't broke, why change it??!!

Same to me, I can not to install it in another directory than C:/Program Files(86). Therefore unplayable

It is a bug in the installer, Slitherine is well aware and fixing this asap.

For the time being you can solve this manually with this workaround:

Copying & replacing the files to the Base Game Directory on any drive you have your base game on, D:\ or ED:\, or whatever drive you have the game installed.

Looking forward to the fixed installer...

I'll wait for the installer to be fixed. I've a lot of expansions and mods and I don't want to screw it up. Appreciate if you could give us a heads-up when the installer is available. Thanks.

Yes, I´ll wait for the fix too!

I buy Soviet Corps only after the installer is fixed!

An installer fix is coming together with a little patch, but no sooner as next week is possible as Slitherine is closed over the weekend, we have gotten no timeframe yet from Slitherine.

Mods we of course can never support technically, but nothing should go wrong if you follow this path and if you are worried, just make a back-up first.

As a temporarily and manual solution to start you playing:

1. Install Soviet Corps to the default: C:\Program Files...
2. Copy & replace those newly installed files form C:\Program Files... to your already existing Panzer Corps Directory (example: D:\games\panzercorps) (make a BackupCopy of the Directory before)
3. Prompt will ask you if folders with same name should be integrated and files replaced. Say Yes for all.
4. Run the Panzercorps.exe located in the D:\ Location
5. Defend the Motherland! Comrade Stalin does not care for any Installation problem excuses!

Ha! Ha! Ha! Good one lordzimoa! However, as you are not Stalin (fortunately ), I'll wait for the installer to be fixed.
