Sounds like an interesting idea. The US campaign did not have enough island hopping in it.

Yes it sounds very good but before a new dlc I really would like to see some fixes and gameplay balancing the core game still needs (see recent Erik's threads for ex.)

Sounds very interesting! The Islands looked rather tiny though, at least those shown on the product page.

Well I imagine they would have to be given most of them were nothing more than little atolls that were only a few km across

For the battles with small islands/atolls it generally has 2 of them on 1 map (for example Tulagi+Gavutu and Makin+Tarawa from the product page). Incidentally this is historically accurate in a sense that both operations where actualy fought simultaniously. Gameplay will feel slightly different than the current campaigns because of the smaller scale operations, but that gives this expansion a nice unique flavour.
