Downloaded dlc from slitherine/ original from Steam

Hi,
I have just bought Rising Sun dlc from slitherine. Tried to install but it said I need to install the original first. I then realised I must have downloaded the original on steam!! I tried redeeming the network key for the purchase DLC on steam but it does not recognize it.
