I guess not, which is a shame. I've really enjoyed both BA and BA2

What a colossal shame. I cannot imagine why. I've bought (I think) every single purchaseable item the BA series has to buy on the iPad and would gleefully buy more if they made more available. Are these not profitable? I just don't get it personally. Not to mention that this engine could easily be ported over to post WWII cover conflicts like Korea, Arab-Israeli Wars, Iran-Iraq War, and many others. Shoot, wouldn't it be a hoot to sim the Libya-Chad Toyota War in a future version of BA? Could have pickup trucks galore getting blasted....

On second thought, maybe that would be kinda sad.

I would buy it in a heartbeat. Love BA and BA2, my most played games for years.

I think they're not actively developing for the STUB engine any longer?

New focus is the "Archon" engine?

That is going to be used for Steel Tigers I think.

If so - it may be better than what BA3 could bring to the table ....

Although ... (even if the above is true) BA2 will always have a special place in my heart - the game's atmosphere, voice bits, engaging mission design for the campaigns - made it absolutely the best light wargame I've ever played.

I'm not sure Steel Tigers with all of its Grigsby star power, mega databases and excellent game design will be a fitting replacement for this endearing line ...

I hope its as simple to learn as BA and BA2...I hope the Steel Tigers is as simple. The name Grigsby has in the past been tied to large complicated games.

Right - that is a concern ....

I suppose Steel Tigers is the (incoming cliché) "spiritual successor" to Steel Panthers.

I loved that game series but for reasons quite different from those that generated my appreciation of the Battle Academy games.

As it stands, I think I'll probably end up liking Steel Tigers - but it won't fill the gap created by the loss of the BA series ....
