Announcement - tournament "Throw down the gauntlet"

Greetings gents,
Last year I organised a 15mm Warrior tournament in November at
Northmead Bowling Club called Throw Down the Gauntlet.
Most of the people who played in it are now keen devotees of FOG.
This year Throw Down the Gauntlet is to be played in FOG.
The distinctive aspect of the format was that small tables were used
(4 by 3) so that there was no running and hiding. You had to pick an
army that got stuck in.
The preliminary details are as follows:
5 rounds, 15mm, Field of Glory, preset terrain, 4 by 3 tables, 550
point armies from any list published by Slitherine (no betas) at the
date of the tournament. Armies are to remain the same throughout the
tournament as are orders of march. Entry $25. Sponsorship pending
(and I would be pleased to hear from any potential sponsors).
Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November at Northmead Bowling,
Recreation and Sports Club, Windsor Road, Northmead (about 3-4km from
the Parramatta CBD).
The intention is to play 3 rounds on the Saturday and 2 rounds on the
Sunday. Last year a number of the contestants dined together in
Parramatta on the Saturday night.
I will post entry forms on here as soon as the sponsorship and final
details are organised.
I look forward to seeing as many players as possible, and see the
tournament as a good opportunity to get players from different gaming
backgrounds together playing FOG.
