PBEM Games Won't Load After Morning Sun Update

Since the update I haven't been able to take any of my PBEM turns. I can select the game and click on Launch but the games never load (no progress bar appears). I've gone as far as to uninstall the game, delete all the game folders, and then reinstall, but still have no luck. Any thoughts?

only my opinion, but it's always best to finish off a pbem game on the same version before updating to a later version or adding any new content, as game can or could end or with file mismatch regarding versions etc, but not 100% sure in this case so maybe wait for a staff mod to reply with a better or more correct answer.

Thank you, that is probably wise but both my opponent and I have auto updates turned on (Steam) so it was too late by the time we realized that there was a problem. For some reason my opponent was able to take his turn in both games we have going after the update but I am not able to.

My 1.9.4e expired, so I had no option but to update.
Also, some multiplayer games may have 30-40 turns left. That is a long time in the dark without being able to play Morning Sun
Looks like the PBEM system needs an overhaul, the errors are getting more frequent.

We started a 2 new games after update and they will not load, same as the old games.
