Might want to fix the error in the name of the thread (edit the 1st post) - when I read it I thought you were talking about Lake Balaton in Wehrmacht - my tip for that is "just don't get killed!"

It was a joke . Lake Balaton (wehr campaign) is pretty much impossible. I haven't played Sealion yet so can't be a lot of use for that.

Hi there.

You did read the briefing and only concentrate on defense until further orders arrive? Good.

You have Slovak reserves appearing very soon south of the river and they can take care of that area with some Luftwaffe support, so concentrate your core north of the river.
I put an "anchor" of infantry, towed artillery and AA by the north bank of the river and in the town at the top and put my mobile stuff along the centre where they could react to any attacks. The airfields are nice and central so you can operate sorties out of them without over extending yourself. Then, when you've dealt with the main northern thrust you can use the rail network to re-deploy for your new set of orders.

This scenario had a nice twist in it and as long as you remember to defend and STAY PUT until the enemy run out of steam you should find it easier.

thanks...your tips helped a lot....got any tips for the lyme regis scenario in Sea Lion??? Iv tried it twice but only can capture two of the three cities,

I have similar problem and even put similar question in a different part of the forum. My problem was that after fairly easy first couple of scenarios (field marshal difficulty) I was completely taken aback by this scenario. Even though I stayed close to the river and restrict to defend my positions my tanks where annihilated by enemy attack in the first couple of rounds and I couldn't do much to stop them - my Panzers III and IV were good for nothing when it came to fighting Matildas and I felt like AI is much more pissed off at me in this scenario . When I will restart I plan to retreat to the southern bank of Thames lure Brits in and deal with them when they're vulnerable crossing the bridge - than strike back

I answered on your alternative positing.
In brief: give bit of ground while soaking up the pummelling. Counter attack when ready.

But this is a scenario that suits my preferred style, and even then it was a last (or last-but-one) turn win. I haven't found any real easy ones so far.

After you have deployed your army, you begin with 45 units, as soon the Slovaks arrive this will be 51 units; the Slovaks can assist in eventual critical holes in the line of defense.
The British attack comes in three waves.
I positioned infantry in the urban areas , Panzers in the open backed up by Stug IIIs and Sturmpanzers, placed several 88s for its dual role. Fighters were placed on victory hexes were possible, Bf 110s and Ju 87s in the rear.
I placed two of my best tanks on the fortification hexes.Then i was prepared for the British.
