Now we are back having had an emergency detour to Copenhagen last night and landed with fire engines and ambulences chasing us ,changing planes several hours later without baggage.
The 1st shock was Lynda beating Terry, what JD hasn't mentioned next was she went on to narrowly beat him followed by beating Hammy( a bigger margin) then narrowly losing to Nik which could have gone either way if it had gone longer, she then went on to play Dave Ruddock who I gather won with some carefully thrown dice (4 BG of LH v 4 BG of LH at evens,he won the lot, finished off the comp playing Ray.
Never had the army broken and somehow finished 10th

Analysis will show that Lynda had the hardest draw of any of the players and certainly was hard done to with 10th place - she played much better than that :?

Strictly speaking that isn't quite true. I actually had one of the BG's broken, although they hadn't lost any bases. My next 3 Cohesion Tests added up to about 30 and they went to steady in a turn and a half :)

Linda's four BG's ceased to exist. If the results had been reversed, my army would have been facing a mob of Light Horse with an open flank, much as Linda had to. I suspect the result would have been very different.

and she killed 2 of my 3 generals. I was lucky to get out alive. Command and control for my army had ceased !!

I thought that helped them, at least it did when they failed their tests not to charge and promptly swept to victory despite your best efforts
