I am about to charge a unit (A), and by charging that unit (A), I also hit the flank of another unit (B).

Can the unit (A) I'm charging move forward as an intercept to stop the flank contact happening ?

No....BGs cannot intercept if they themselves could be contacted inside the move distance of a declared charge.
