Warhammer 40k new game?

What would you guys think of the possibility of Slitherine making a WH40k game just like the old Star General (updated, of course)?

- planetary conquest + colonization
- battles both in space + inside the planet
- resource extraction, and an open ended mode for galactic conquest
- many races (surely would't be a problem for WH40k)

I mean, the Star General type is just perfect for WH40k, but would that be interesting or possible for the company? Armageddon is great, but once you finish a campaign, it's done forever! Using those same engine and graphics, they could make a truly epic game, with insane replay value!

Thanks in advance!

I could go for that, but it all depends on what GW would allow Slitherine and the developer to incorporate into the game.

At times, I think GW sometimes allows for poor execution in the development of digital games to give players a taste of the excellent IP their authors have developed but no actual fulfillment - so that consumers would be driven to buy their miniature line.

I have no hard evidence on this but I have suspicions ...

IMO, this does not apply to Slitherine's 40k product. Although it does not feature the forces / war on Armageddon that I prefer (Chaos vs Imperium), it was well executed and supported.

If I had to take my pick of Publishers to make the game you're describing, it would be Slitherine / Matrix.

Thanks, man. I was already thinking that it was only me who wanted something like that. Many people have these suspicions, but I thought that a good selling game could do more good than bad for the franchise.
