I would like to kno what peeps think of this.

Is this Later Seleucid? I think you can only have four light horse with bow in total, either skythians or other horse archers. You also don't appear to have any commanders.

I only have three games in so far with my Maks, but I'm having better luck fielding my pike in blocks of 12.

I don't have my book in front of me, but I'm almost positive he can have more than 4 horse archers, just only four with bow and swordsmen. He can also have LH with javelin in that list (Tarantine I think).

Looking at the list, the total bases column covers both the skythians and other horse archers, with 0-4 bases. You can have either Tarantines or civic militia cavalry, both javelin armed but average or poor respectively, with a total of 0-6 bases. I guess it's a function of Seleucid armies being large so that individual contingents are relatively small in proportion to the size of the army.

I make your army points total to be 989 including the commanders - I don't know what you were aiming for. Many singles games run at 800 points a side, while doubles can be more - 900 and 1000 points have been used. Looks like an interesting army, though. I'm currently tinkering with the Later Seleucid list trying to get an 800 point army I like.

I think remove the Sakae horse archers....that saves you 32 pts! Then add back 42 Pts for 6 x Tarentine LH at 7 pts each. Now I think your army is 999pts and will be ok for even the biggest of games! Hope you have a ig table 'cos this is a lot of lead in 25mm!!!
