I just purchased Legions Triumphant and when downloading, my virus checker, AVG, says it is a virus: Adware Generic5.AGSX

I assume it is OK to ignore this warning?

It's a false positive.
Ignore the warning.
Unfortunately false positives are quite common with AVG.
