UK Games Expo - Birmingham

This is a heads up to say that I will not be able to run the FoG tournament at the Games Expo this year. With the exhibition hall a good 5 minutes walk from the tournament spaces it is simply not going to be possible for me to spend time on my trade stand and move back and forth.

If someone is up for organising a FoG:AM / FoG:R tournament and thinks that 16+ players could be interested then please get in touch with the Expo team and make yourself known.

The Expo has put out a general call for volunteers http://www.ukgamesexpo.co.uk/morenews.php?id=131 so even if you are not up for running a tournament you might want to help anyway.

I might be interested in this but I've heard that parking will not be free this year. This would be a significant extra expense for 1 day visitors, which would include a significant number of those who would only be attending for a FoG tournament. Do you know if this is the case?

The website says that parking at the Hilton if you are not staying at the Hilton is £9 and at the station is £6. The NEC site says that parking is £12 for Standard or £20 for "Express" which is closer and does not require the shuttle-bus that the Standard parking does. Although that may change as it says it is dependant on the event and the UKGE website says watch this space.

You can also try the NCP at the airport (http://www.ncp.co.uk/parking-solutions/ ... m-airport/) but this looks to be about £26 for a day.
Hope that helps
