UK Games Expo - Birmingham

This is a heads up to say that I will not be able to run the FoG tournament at the Games Expo this year. With the exhibition hall a good 5 minutes walk from the tournament spaces it is simply not going to be possible for me to spend time on my trade stand and move back and forth.
If someone is up for organising a FoG:AM / FoG:R tournament and thinks that 16+ players could be interested then please get in touch with the Expo team and make yourself known.
The Expo has put out a general call for volunteers
http://www.ukgamesexpo.co.uk/morenews.php?id=131 so even if you are not up for running a tournament you might want to help anyway.

I'd be interested in running it.
Can I get 16 people to reply to this thread that they are interested?

I'm definitely going to the UK Games Expo, and I would play in a FOG tournament.

OK then this will run and I will run it.
More details to follow, but:
2 days FoG AM, a different army theme for each day.
Expo want a 'Final', like what they do in football. So there will be one each day. But there will also be a 'Plate' competition so that if you do not qualify for the next round in the knockout you still have games to play and a competition to win.
In efect 5 competitions in one, 2 each day and an overall winner for the weekend.
The plan for 16 players would be
First Round
Random draw, all players
Second round, Knockout and Plate.
The six top scoring players (one third rounded up, but minimum of 6) from the first round will make the cut and play the, three game, 'Semi-Final'.
The remainder (10) will carry their scores from the first round into the plate using a Swiss Chess draw for the round.
Third round: Final and Plate
Top two scorers from knockout play the 'Final'.
Remainder, including those that did not qaulify for the final play in the plate using Swiss draw again from their total scores so far.
At the end of the day you have a First (and Second place) in the knockout and a winner of the Plate - Plate winner being the highest scoring player over the three games who did not qaulify for the Final in the knockout
Rinse and repeat for day 2 with different theme of armies
And Ultimately an 'Overall Champion', the player who scored most from their 6 games over the weekend.
Small tables, big armies. Probably 700 points on 38"x54"
Most likely pre-set terrain
Scoring will be doubled for enemy losses and +10 for breaking the enemy
I am open to being given advice, but may not heed it.

To be honest I'm not sure Phil.
Jacob and I enjoyed our weekend trips to the Birmingham Expo every year but this year he will be in the middle of his GCSE's.
Unsure if I will come without him as he may want to do his revision at my house where he won't have his brother and sister to distract him.
