So I've been keeping an eye of this game for a long time and have been thinking of buying it. I did read up on FOG(U) and how it will be an update for all owners, so that's good.

My question is, will the expansions also be updated as well eventually? In other words, is it worthwhile to purchase the expansions? Or is the FOG(U) project limited to just the base game?

Basically, the whole game engine/system is being upgraded. So the upgrade will include upgrading the expansions and it is definitely worthwhile purchasing expansions. The new upgrade will also allow even more expansions than there are now.
