Random Battle Generator (Jan 5, 2016)

Finally, the long-awaited Random Battle Generator has been completed.

Download Here: https://www.mediafire.com/?11mih93kb8gxudn

Inside the download is a scenario file that can be copied to My Docs/My Games/Panzer Corps/Scenario, and then loaded through 'Custom...'. GME is NOT needed.

By loading it, you will be provided with a randomly-generated map and core force. The AI force will also be random but will appear on its own side of the map.

The scenario is fully capable with both SP and MP, and there are around 2^70 different combinations. When playing SP, both the Axis and Allies are playable.

Some maps I have generated with it:

When I tried to download this I received a warning from McAfee that it was unsafe!

It's just a zip file with 2 scenario files in it. If anything I would expect one of my larger mods to be marked unsafe, not this!

that's Normal.
BiteNibbleChomp didn't pay his fees to Microsoft so all the anti viruses show his files as danger. Same with my files.

It's a warning for you to know who you are down loading from.

In this case you know the party from this forum.

There is no virus.

No-one ever asked about fees?

Also I didn't use the fancy tool they now have for making zip files - just some wizard included in XP.

And if so, why haven't I heard about this with Kaiserschlacht or War of the World II?

Brilliant work!

It is worth the free subscription to a sex site, that came with it.

Is it possible to make a campaign, out of several copies of the scenario? Will troops carry over?

I don't pay any fees to Microsoft and downloaded this mod without any warnings.

This is very interesting.
Is there an easy way of doing a version whereby you could turn off the aircraft.?
Is there an easy way of doing a version whereby you would start with a certain amount of prestige and just choose the units you have?
thanks for info

:?: What the hell?

In theory. It would need a few major adjustments to the map file and a bunch of other supporting stuff.

Open up RBG.pzscn in editor. Go to "Edit", select "Units. Right click all aircraft and save (maybe make a new scenario file such as RBG-2.pzscn)

Same as above, but right click ALL units of one side. Then, go to Edit Scenario Params/Sides and set the side that has no units to prestige 12000 (the approx. value 0f a random core). Also note that random cores are frequently a bit larger thanthe 28 core slots, so increasing that to 32 would have no ill effects.

Yet another milesone in PzC modding achieved.

That hell of a city in your third screenshot though  I think the random function needs some tweaking... Anyway, outstanding work. Reminds me of Blitzkrieg's random maps, its campaign of historical and random missions.

Uninstall McAfee and get yourself an antivirus program.

Afaik archive files with mods are often rejected by modern web-browsers and antivirus software for no reason, this is normal.

Normally you only get one 'metro' type city in a game, as each has a 2% chance to occur (there are 7 or so possible locations). So the chance for a double metro is 0.0004, or 1 in 2500 - I'm not going to change anything if it occurs this rarely.

It can be called Stalingrad 2.0

Great job on doing this RMG. I noticed it never generates rivers, however. Using the in-game map/scenario editor I was able to add rivers, well...sort of. :) I am not sure how to do actual rivers, but I was able to add a waterway/marsh down the middle of the map as an experiment. The 2 versions allow for a random map to include this dividing line & add some variance in the game play. Thank you again for this excellent program.
I also tweaked the scenario parameters a little bit, but those are easy tweaks for anyone to change.
Just backup the original RGB.pzcn file & replace with one of the zipped files.

UPDATE: I am getting a little better at this. :) New Zip files include 5 maps with a long river separating both sides. I named them in the editor so these files can just be copied into the Scenario folder without them overwriting the original. 2 of them have the Aircraft removed, but of course, you can still purchase them via the prestige method. I increased the "core" so this would be possible. The "huge" map is just for fun & maybe of some use to someone.

I know how to do them, but if I add any possibilities of intersecting them then the whole process becomes very complicated. Plus, I would need to add roads and stuff as well, and I would rather have a released thing that works well with less features than one with more features but more susceptible to bugs/graphic errors etc.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying it!

Does it only work with the original game? I tried it with Allied Corp and Afrika Corp and it didn't work on either just gave me a blank screen and nothing.

It should. Unless one of the patches screwed it up (it was made for 1.22 or something), it should work fine. Not like there's all that much fancy stuff in it.
