HELSINKI here we come !

I look forward to seeing at least some of you in Helsinki

Legions Triumphant is due to arrive in the warehouse imminently and I have asked them to forward it to my hotel in Helsinki , so I hope to have a few copies at the show

We are now at Heathrow having a coffee - hooked up with Mr Madegan (even if he is plaing some other rule set 8) )

After 2 Rounds Nik Gaukroger leads the field and shock of the evnt so far is that Lynda Fairhurst gives Terry Shaw a smack. Terry's troops were using rubber swords:-)

I wonder how the event went? Everybody back home, what were the results, how did FOG hold up under the pressure of a world championship tournament?

Having just got back home I think that the tournament went really well. I had one or two "Hammy moments" where I tried to force a maginal advantage and got smashed as a result (serves me right for being greedy IMO).

I was the umpire for the comp and have to say that there were very few umpire calls all of which were very quickly resolved from the rule book. The non UK players seemed to have a decent grasp of the rules which is also a good sign.
