Is this the correct uniform for the Austrians at the Siege of Vienna? Is the informal tricorn correct?

Has anybody got links to more Austrian or Battle of Vienna links?

If so what figures would people recommend?

Uniform - Yes, the informal tricorne prevailed prior to, I think, the mid-1690s (it depended on which army - the French and Bavarians seem to have been the first to go "fully cocked").

Links - No, nothing in my bookmarks, I'm afraid. Suggest that you go to the Renaissance section of TMP (The Miniatures Page) and use the search engine.

Figures - What size are you looking at - 15mm or 25mm? For the former, there are fewer ranges available - Donnington, Irregular, and Khurusan are the three that spring to mind immediately for the 1670-1700 period, although I believe Legio Heroica is making figures specifically for the Siege of Vienna. The 25/28mm enthusiast is slightly better catered for, with Dixon, Foundry, Ebor, North Star, Reiver, and Warfare Miniatures, plus TAG (The Assault Group) and Old Glory for the Poles and Ottomans, among the most obvious.

I have slightly earlier infantry also with no bayonet and apostles that I did for the reformation that would be more appropriate for this war

Well, in the list the infantry arbitrarily changes at the end of Montecuccoli's battles with the Great Condé in 1675 ... so 5&1s seem right
