DBM has 4 Sp bases to 8 Xbow bases max. This is similar to the battle group guideline of 1/3 spear to 2/3 bow which has been used in other FoG supplements.

All bow is medium foot and not heavy foot.

I am working a list now for Livonian Confederation vs. Novgorod to simulate the Battle of the Ice, aka Lake Peipus, in 1242. I am relying heavily on the Late Crusader list from "Swords and Scimitars" and blending it with the DBM IV/30 list to fight a mix of the Estonian IV/27 and Post-Mongol Russian IV/44 lists.

Why? I have several boxes of Zvezda 1/72 Tuetons and Russians and would like to use them for public demo games. Less costly than white metal but more visually attractive than 15mm. Also, I would have fewer reservations about ham-handed newbies pawing them.

Were you thinking of an early or later Teutonic army Meliadus? I'm working towards an early Baltic one and am banking on it won't be much different than a Later Crusader list. I'll play them as Later Crusaders until Eternal Empire comes out and hopefully the 'early' options (if any) of that army list we allow me to play a more specific Teutonic list. It's looking like the Feudal army book is a long ways off yet. The closest thing I can suggest is the Later Medieval German list as a base for building towards a later Teutonic army. At least as far as guessing spear/x-bow ratios and armor types is concerned.
