We need assistance with an interpretation issue which has recently come up. With MF or HF carrying a Light Spear it says on the Impact Phase you get a + unless charging shock mounted.
What we would like to know, does this mean:

The Light Spears do not get a + if they charge shock mounted

or does it mean

If Light Spears are charged by shock mounted they do not get a +

Could someone please explain?

The former.

Yes. The advantage with foot is usually in not moving.

If in doubt about anything in the ref-sheets at the back of the rules, first check the wording in the main body of the rules. The wording in the ref-sheets is abbreviated - it is only meant to be a reminder, not the actual rule.

The wording in the POA chart in the main body of the rules, P.96, should make the answer to your question clear.

Because several people have asked the above question, we have altered the wording in the new play-sheet at:
