wounded enemy commanders respawning next turn

I don't recall whether this is a feature of the original game or a bug I created myself by messing with the scripts too much:

There's a time penality for your own wounded commanders until they can be redeployed, yet the AI (Computer Opponent's) commanders always seem to reappear on the very next turn after they have been wounded. Have you witnessed this too and/or do you have any suggestions where in the scripts this could be fixed?

Btw: still playing V.1.6.4., so this might have been adressed already, so if you are playing V.1.6.6 please report if your mileage varies.

P.S. : argh, wrong forum I guess, should have posted this in Tech Support...sorry!

isnt it because u play vs privileged ai? the best thing how to get ai commander out of game is surround them (i think its pointless kill units with commander vs privileged ai)

then question is, what means privileged, ive noticed ai has more railway points at any level and now it looks they have fast commander resurrection too 8)
