Low morale, has moved fast, holding fire, damaged.

what do you mean holding fire and which one is low morale?
and what do the chevrons mean...i think they're promotion related...am i right??

and while we're at it,
what are these? (the shells, i mean)

They are the amount of rounds that a unit can fire, the normal coloured ones are the ones that you can fire during each turn, the red one is a round that can only be fired by the unit itself not by the player.
