iOS 64 bit update - Kickstarter?

Hi all

It's been explained numerous times on the forum that there won't be any more updates or expansions for BA or BA2 on iOS, because Apple requires all code now to be 64 bit, and the engine is 32 bit. The effort to do it isn't justified, and I get this. If I were in Slitherine's shoes, I'd see it the same way.

I understood this, and I was sad, because I only play on iOS.

Then I thought, if someone were to start a Kickstarter campaign to fund the conversion, I'd kick in $50 or $100. I have no idea if this would work, and if it did, whether it would solve the problem. Maybe it's more complicated than that - so many things are in business.

What do people think?

Cheers
IB

Unfortunately it would have a ton of issues (the biggest of which would be that we couldn't give away copies via iTunes to supporters IIRC). It would also cut into the development of the projects we are currently focused on (so it would have a large opportunity cost also).

Add to that that Apple would probably then just add some other requirement that would mean additional work... ;)

Cheers
