Legions Triumphant Triple Life Tournament
Posted: Fri Nov 20, 2015 6:02 pm
This is a Legions Triumphant-themed triple life tournament. Follow the bracket structure strictly and please ask questions if you have them. All arranging matches and results will be posted in this thread.
Important dates:
- Dec 1: Round 1 begins
- Dec 16: Round 2 begins
- Jan 1: Round 3 begins
- Jan 16: Round 4 begins
- Feb 1: Round 5 begins
- Feb 16: Round 6 begins
- Mar 1: Round 7 begins
- Players have roughly 2 weeks to complete each round which will consist of one match for each player.
Joining the tournament:
- Each player selects 3 armies from the Legions Triumphant book each representing a “life”.
- Based on Ianiow’s classification of armies with exceptional being worth 4, good 3, average 2, and poor 1, the total points value of the selected armies must be 7 or less.
Structure of tournament:
- Each player has 3 lives and is eliminated after total 3 losses.
- The structure strictly follows the format as provided by the spreadsheet so just follow the path. If you win, you stay near the top and if you lose you begin moving down into the second life bracket, then the third life bracket, and then finally elimination. Generally speaking, you will typically play against players with similar amounts of lives.
- A player cannot reuse an army that has been defeated in battle (another way to think of this is each army equals a life).
- Ties will be counted as losses for both players. This will be applied by having the player that is higher in the bracket lose the match, and the player that is lower in the bracket immediately forfeit the next match. This way both players lose a life.
Arranging matches
- As convenor, I will post clear instructions regarding each player’s next match to ensure there is no confusion.
- Players can choose to play as any of the armies that have not been eliminated by being defeated.
- Players’ army choices for each match remain secret (so ensure you unclick “show army name.”). Your opponent will only know which armies you have left to choose from.
- Players are responsible for arranging matches.
- Post challenge in this thread and PM to ensure your opponent saw it.
Rules of games:
- Armies will consist of 500 pts
- You may customize your army before each match
- Fog of war and double moves will be used
- Digital League rules on army size/composition do not apply
Posting results:
- Winners of each individual match are responsible for posting result in this thread; I will update the table and remaining army lists for each player.
- Please use this format:
Attila (Huns) 30/45 defeats Aetilus (Romans) 50/50
